Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) go for their 3rd title but Pat Cummins (World Cup Winner) Have other plan

A year ago, No one would have placed a bet on the Australian current Captain Pat Cummins being the captain and winning the ODI World Cup, World Test Championship and Ashes in a time span of 6 months and now here one match away of Winning the world’s most watched tournament Indian Premier league(IPL) title for the Sun Rises Hydrabad(SRH).

On the other hand Shreyas Iyar who lost his central contract with the BCCI and also had raised issues with his back. He succeeded from all his past and placed his team on the top of the table with exceptional captaincy skills.

Both teams met in the Qualifier 1 in which KKR outperform SRH with their bowling plans on the Motera ground in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.  If one looks man to man, KKR tick more boxes as they have more match winners who single handly change the match situation e.g. the spin magician Sunil Narine, Muscle powered Andre Russle, Six Hitting Machine Rinku Singh.

However SRH’s young players like domestic stars who outperform all others are the destroyer Abhishek Sharma, Clever Nitish Kumar Reddy have done exceptionally for the team along with out of favour Indian Internationals such as The swing Master Bhuvneshwar Kumar, The Yorker king T Natarajan and also, so many youngsters have come through and have performed for the team.

SRH’s 36 run victory over Rajasthan Royals(RR) in second Qualifier on a difficult track will certainly inhance the confidence in the team but Chepauk wicket in Chennai will help for spinners especially Varun and Narine both have 20 and 16 wickets so far in this tournament respectively. This is the main concern for SRH’s assistant coach Simon Helmot. SRH spin department might be short of stellar form spinners but in last match in second Qualifier Abhishek and Shahbaz Ahmed showered some confidence during their 5 wicket haul for 37 runs in 8 overs. This changed the course of the second Qualifier.
